Biography

Emily’s practice focuses on civil litigation, including acting as counsel for businesses and individuals in commercial disputes and labour and employment matters. She can assist with contract and lease disputes, environmental litigation, and other civil matters, such as claims for negligence and unjust enrichment. Emily regularly represents clients in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court and in Small Claims Court. Providing empathetic and practical advice, Emily addresses the legal issues faced by her clients and considers the realities of their circumstances.

In addition to her litigation practice, Emily advises clients on environmental law matters, including navigating environmental regulations, contaminated sites, and environmental assessments. By guiding clients through these complex processes, Emily helps clients foresee and avoid difficulties before they arise.
