Patterson Law announces 2022 partners.

The partners of Patterson Law are proud to welcome Heather Wyse and Blair McIlwain to partnership, effective January 1st, 2022.

Heather Wyse (Halifax/Hollis St. Office) has been a crucial component of Patterson Law’s litigation team since 2016, where her primary areas of practice are personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance defence and subrogation, and commercial litigation including debt recovery and collections, construction, commercial leasing, and business disputes.

Heather has demonstrated firsthand her commitment to excellence while elevating the standard of legal practice in Nova Scotia according to Co-managing Partner, Kate Harris.

“Invitations to join our partnership are given thorough consideration to ensure that our clients continue to receive top quality service, technical expertise, and practical advice. Heather exceeds expectations in each of these areas,” says Harris. “Agreeing to join the partnership is evidence of Heather’s commitment to the long-term vision of Patterson Law, and its fundamental values of unwavering client loyalty, personal integrity, and giving back to the communities we serve. We are thrilled to welcome Heather to the partnership.”

Blair McIlwain’s (Bridgewater Office) practice is dedicated exclusively to real estate including the purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties, financing, property migrations, subdivision/consolidation, and title and access issues, including adverse possession and prescriptive rights. Blair will continue to advance Patterson Law’s real property practice which is fresh from its most recent award of distinction through The Globe and Mail’s ranking of Canada’s Best Law Firms 2022.

Patterson Law partner, Andrew Kimball, says that Blair’s in-depth knowledge of real-estate legal principles, her excellent approach to client service, and her practical approach to problem solving makes her a welcome addition to the Patterson Law partnership.

“Blair is an excellent lawyer; she has developed a successful real estate practice on the south shore. I am excited for Blair and our partnership that she has accepted our invitation to join the Patterson Law partnership,” says Kimball. “We know Blair will continue to elevate the high standard of client care and quality of work she is respected for and act as a key member of Patterson Law’s real property group as their collective efforts continue to be recognized on the national stage.”

The partnership of Patterson Law welcomes the drive and dedication shown by Heather and Blair who have reached this key milestone in their careers, and the firm again congratulates these two individuals on their achievements.
