Local support rallies behind Patterson Law expansion.

Observing our 93rd year of servicing the legal needs of Nova Scotians, Patterson Law has expanded its reach once again. This time to better serve the counties of Pictou, Antigonish and Guysborough.

On October 1st, Patterson Law added an office location within the Town of Pictou and a new, larger New Glasgow location situated in the Aberdeen Business Center. Lawyers joining Patterson Law are Eric Atkinson, Joel Sellers, Julie MacPhee, Mary Jane Saunders, Mallory Arnott, Jesse MacLean, and Natasha Schigas.

Patterson Law’s growth in this region of Nova Scotia is driven by our commitment to provide the highest quality of legal services to our clients. This commitment is recognized and supported by Gerald Green, and Patterson Law partner, George White, two notable names in the legal community who have rallied behind Patterson Law’s next step in becoming northern Nova Scotia’s law firm.

Gerald, a Harvard graduate and Pictou County resident, understands the benefits that high quality legal services bring to the residents of northern Nova Scotia. While he is no longer in active practice, he remains committed to the well being of his past clients and the region he served. In his role as Advisor, Gerald will foster and endorse the relationships between Patterson Law’s group of practicing corporate and commercial lawyers, and the northern Nova Scotian business community.

“The lawyers and staff that have joined Patterson Law look forward to continuing to provide great service to their clients in northern Nova Scotia and beyond,” said Gerald. “Their ability to provide that service will be enhanced by the greater bench strength that Patterson Law has throughout its offices in Nova Scotia.”

George White, QC, TEP, current partner, and former managing partner of Patterson Law is embracing the opportunity to assist northern Nova Scotian clients where he has family and business roots in New Glasgow and Toney River.

Complementing the incoming roster of talented lawyers, George, along with a supporting group of experienced corporate and commercial lawyers, and Patterson Law’s current group of Tax lawyers, will deliver increased advisory and legal services to meet the wide variety of complex legal needs relevant to families and businesses in the region involved in start-ups, acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and business succession.

“Patterson Law’s increased regional presence in Pictou County is improving the quality and availability of in-depth legal services for northern Nova Scotians. This is a result of our growing collective of smart and caring resident lawyers and support personnel who live and work in Pictou County sharing the Patterson philosophy that integrity and trust is earned by hard work.” said George. “I am excited to welcome these lawyers to the Patterson Law family, and I am confident that these additions will not only strengthen their respective areas of law within the region but the entire Patterson Law network as a whole.”
