Dennis James appointed to Queen’s Counsel

The firm is very proud to congratulate Dennis James on his appointment to Queen’s Counsel.

Dennis is a former managing partner of the firm and provides leadership in the areas of commercial litigation, municipal law, employment law, aboriginal law and health law. In his 27 years of practice he has developed a solid reputation of excellence with municipal governments and has been sought out to assist with local governance, risk management and litigation issues.  Dennis is actively involved in the legal and volunteer community, leading the Nova Scotia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association to name Dennis James as its 2014 Community Service Award recipient earlier this year.

The Queen’s Counsel designation is an honour conferred on members of the legal profession to recognize exceptional merit and contribution, professional integrity and good character. Dennis is a worthy recipient of this honour.
