Hospitals

The Colchester Regional Hospital serves residents as the main acute care facility of Colchester East Hants Health Authority. Located in Truro, the 126-bed facility provides a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and satellite services.  A hospital replacement project is underway which will serve more than 73,000 residents of Colchester East Hants and will provide surgical, medical, mental health, intensive care, maternal child services, diagnostic and treatment services, emergency and ambulatory care services and much more.

Education

The Chignecto-Central Regional School Board serves approximately 24,000 students from Grades Primary to 12, Adult high school students and operates a variety of Community Education programs throughout the region.
