Mike Scott Coaches Team to Victory

Members of the Dalhousie trial advocacy team (coached by Michael Scott of our Halifax office), were awarded prizes for Best Opening Statement and Best Closing Address at the National Sopinka Cup mooting competition in Ottawa. The Sopinka Cup is a trial advocacy exercise for law students, judged by judges and senior litigation counsel from across the country. The highlight of the weekend was the reception and personal tour of the Supreme Court of Canada from the Chief Justice and Justices Abella, Deschamps, Rothestein, Cromwell and Moldaver. print
