Patterson Law Welcomes Margot Ferguson
We are pleased to announce that Margot J. Ferguson has joined Patterson Law. Margot holds a Master of Arts degree from Acadia University in Wolfville, and received her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto. After completing her articles in Toronto and New Brunswick, Margot practiced briefly in New Brunswick before returning to Nova Scotia where she was admitted to the Bar in 2001.
Margot is active in the local community. She also serves as a Mentor with the Lawyers' Insurance Association of Nova Scotia and as a Member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society Civil Procedure Rules Advisory Group. In addition Margot volunteers as a Restorative Justice Facilitator/Mediator with the Community Justice Society.
Margot's practice focuses on insurance law, commercial litigation and health law. She will practice from our Halifax office, primarily with our Insurance Law group. Margot is highly regarded both as claims and coverage counsel, her thoughtful and intelligent practice style is well known. We are very pleased to have her join us.
